Dilip Ghanekar, M.D., is a specialist in Gastroenterology. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Ghanekar served on the staff at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Pittsburg, where he was instructor in Medicine at the University of Pittsburg Medical School, where his work included teaching Gastroenterology and Hepatology to physicians in training. Dr. Ghanekar completed his training in Gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where was an NIS-sponsored fellow. He has done four years of research at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey, and has published several papers in well known journals. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, where he was the Chief Resident.
Dr. Ghanekar was raised in Bombay, India, and later in the New York City area. He received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India.
Dr. Ghanekar is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
